Fees for 3 lakh polytechnic students will not be increased
There is good news for about 3 lakh students studying in state, aided and private polytechnic institutions across the state. The Department of Technical Education has decided not to increase the annual fees of students this time.
Secretary of Technical Education Council Sanjeev Singh said that the fees of students in Government Polytechnics are decided by the Department of Technical Education, Government of Uttar Pradesh. It is for one year. Currently it is 11326 rupees. At the same time, the fee regulation committee decides to increase or reschedule fees in private institutions. Students of private institutions have to pay an annual fee of around Rs 30,000. This time too, there has been no increase in it.
Students were demanding no fee increase
Polytechnic students have been continuously campaigning through social media demanding that fees not be increased this time, as their families are facing financial crisis due to the lockdown. In such a situation, it will not be right to increase the fees on them.
